For example, you might create a question bank called Greek Mythology which contains a number of questions related to Greek Mythology. Then, you could create a quiz using a portion of the questions from this question bank, such as those dealing with children of the gods.
Creating A Question Bank
Creating a Question Bank is very similar to creating a Quiz except that Question Banks don't have sections, just questions.VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: When you make changes to a question bank, the changes do not take effect until you save the question bank. To save changes, type Ctrl-S or select File>Save from the menu at the top of the window.
To create a Question Bank:
- Expand the Question Bank item in the Quiz Extreme navigator located at the left side of the window.
- Using the Question Bank toolbar, click on the New Question Bank button (
). - The Question Bank editor will open in the edit area.
- There are two ways to add questions. One way is to use the "Add Question" button on the Quizzes toolbar (
) which allows you to enter one question at a time. This method is slower, but gives you complete access to all of the advanced features of questions. The other method is to click the "Quick Entry" button (
) which will bring up the Quick Question Entry dialog that allows you to quickly enter standard questions that include basic text in the question and answers as well as recorded audio clips (used for building spelling or foreign language quizzes). You will likely use the Quick Entry method most of the time. See Questions for complete details. - Specify the necessary information for the question such as the type of question, question text, answer(s), audio, video, image, etc. You can also record an audio clip directly into a question using your computer's microphone to create spelling or foreign language tests, quickly and easily. See Questions for more information.
- NOTE: Multiple-choice questions can contain text for each possible answer or they can also contain an image. Again, see Questions for more information.
- If using the Quick Question Entry dialog, you can use the TAB key to switch between items without using the mouse. Further, once you have completed a question, you can press the ENTER key to quickly jump to a new question, again, without using the mouse.
